To 2022-23 incoming families:
 
At this time, the incoming 1st grade class at Wallingford Elementary School has reached capacity.  All registrants moving forward will be diverted to other elementary schools within the District. For more information regarding our enrollment policies, please contact the Office of Registration at 610-892-3470, ex. 1506 or [email protected]. 
 
Registration for the 22-23 School Year for NEW students, residing within the boundaries of the District, is open.  If your child already attends school in the District, please do not register.

The Administration and the Board of School Directors welcome you to the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District! We have prepared this information to assist you in registering your child for school.

Requirements to register a student in the District include:

  • Proof of residency within the District
  • Proof of child’s age
    • Five (5 years of age on or before September 1st of the school term for kindergarten)
    • Six (6 years of age on or before September 1st of the school term for 1st grade)
  • Immunizations required by law
  • Parent Registration Statement
  • Home Language Survey

Depending on your individual situation, additional documents may be needed.

Finding your school:

Students will be placed in an elementary school location depending on their home address.* You can find your home school by viewing the attendance zones to the left. These attendance zones serve as a general guide for enrolling students.

*Due to capacity sizes, attendance zone placements are not guaranteed. Based on class sizes, incoming students may be diverted to other elementary schools within the District.

Central registration system:

The Wallingford-Swarthmore School District utilizes a central registration system.  There is a 2-step process to register students.  You can start the registration process online by  CLICKING HERE.  If you do not have access to a computer, you can make an appointment to complete the registration at the Registration Office which is located at:

Kindergarten students MUST be five years of age on or before September 1st of the year starting.  There are no exceptions.
