Fourteen students from King-Chavez Arts & Athletics Academy were accepted into the Students of SD Art Contest for the neurographic art they created in class. Neurographic art is an art making process deeply rooted in psychology and is used to focus one’s thoughts, calm the nervous system, and facilitate problem solving.
All fourteen art pieces were placed on display at the police headquarters and our students were invited to check it out for themselves during a ceremony alongside Chief Dave Nisleit, Fire Chief Colin Stowell, and Mayor Todd Gloria. At the ceremony, five King-Chavez students were even awarded placement in the TOP 5! Big congratulations to all of the students on their vision, dedication, and the heart they poured into their work– we are so very proud of you.
